In a new video posted to his Instagram feed, Mooney is almost unrecognizable after dropping 54 pounds.
“It’s crazy not to admit myself. Mentally and physically I’ve reached a place I’ll never go again,” Mooney wrote in the video’s caption, which includes before and after photos from his journey.
“It matters what we eat…who we spend our time with…what we spend our time with is important. Thank you No one forced me to do this I wanted to change my life I’ve never felt more alive I’m not looking for mediocrity No…let’s go find greatness,” he added.
Fellow country artists took to the comment section of his video to cheer him on after Mooney admitted.
Chris Lane wrote “Let’s Goo Buddy” and added the 🔥 emoji.
“You look happy and incredible friends! We are all grown up!!!” said Jake Owen.
“I’m so proud of you, Shay!!! Your physical transformation is obviously unbelievable, but seeing your mental transformation and the light and happiness you exude is truly the best part. I love you!” Abby Smyers, wife of Mooney’s singing partner Dan Smyers, shared her comment, including a ❤️ emoji.

Mooney previously revealed that he had lost 50 pounds in five months. peopleMooney said via his Instagram story that eating clean, quitting alcohol, and walking seven miles every day all played a part in his weight loss journey, the outlet reported.
“[It’s] In a little over 5 months I believe, I’m almost 50 pounds off. For those asking: eat clean/no alcohol, walk 7 miles a day. and some weights. that’s it! I have completely changed my lifestyle and have literally never been better physically, mentally or spiritually,” he admitted.
Mooney too Quote His singing partner Smyers uses it as a motivation to adopt healthier habits.

“You know, I didn’t feel healthy in this moment, not necessarily because of my looks, but because I felt healthy,” Mooney told Melvin.

Mooney not only wants to make a difference for himself, but his children have influenced his weight loss journey.
“I have two children and 1/3 on the wayI want to be healthy for them.That was important,” the country singer explained during the conversation. addition.
Weight loss journey aside, Mooney just won Favorite Country Duo or Group at the 2022 American Music Awards in November alongside singing partner Smyers.
Mooney and his wife Hannah are also preparing to welcome them. third son this winter.
